The State of County Markets in the Wake of Covid-19 Pandemic.
I visited several markets in the county to check on their level of preparedness during this time the country is battling the Coronavirus pandemic and was elated by the level of cautiousness shown at the Juja Market in particular. Social distancing and washing of hands as well as sanitizing is being done with no supervision from outside.
In line with the directive by the President yesterday that the government will cushion Kenyans from the economic effects of this pandemic, Kiambu County will give a 100% waiver on penalties and accrued interest on land rates until April 30th 2020.
